That’s what sucked me into Pc gaming when I was 9, and I’m now 32. Pc gaming (especially nowadays) is so easy and cheap to get into, minus the upfront cost of the pc itself. Highly customizable, can still use controllers, you can download mods, etc. I’ve paid for probably 95% of all of my games, but I’ve also waited for deep sales for all of them (unless I really wanted to play a certain game) You see sales on consoles, but they’ll knock like $7 off and say it’s a good deal. Whereas I can get the same game and all dlc on pc for $7 total. It’ll be $40 on console with no dlc. It’s a no brainer for most games honestly. Lol More on reddit.com

I would certainly check Epic store. They have a free game every week. Not always a good game but sometimes they are very good. Idk how GOG preservation program works but AFAIK the games are for free too. If you want to dig through games itch.io is great place to go. Otherwise it dependends on what you like. I can only tell you what I would be looking into. Path of Exile (you do want to spend little bit of money on stash tabs after a while but for first 40-ish hours it’s fine for free, certainly for the whole campaign). Some of the gacha games nowadays are really good. Genshin, Honkai star rail, Zenless zone zero, Wuthering waves. I would play all of them if I could but I don’t have the time. Once human is nice too. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it but there is a lot of free games in PvP space too. More on reddit.com
