Hi HI!
First time replacing something like this. It’s an older 3 knob control with hot and cold knobs on the left and right side and a shower/tub faucet control in the middle.
The hot and cold knobs seem to be working great but the shower control knob only diverts like half of the water to the shower head when opened and still quite a bit comes out of the faucet. The stem I took out looks pretty much the same as the new one I put in so not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Also, does anyone know how to remove the faucet? There is no tension screw on the bottom or anything. I tried to twist it off but it didn’t budge and I don’t want to apply more force until I’m confidant on what to do.
Thanks!

I just got my first home, and the main bathroom has a tubshower combo with 3 handles. The hot and cold work but the diverter doesn't seem to fully close/work right. It opens fully to the tub but won't close off for only the shower. I was wondering if there is any easy solution or I had the idea of leaving the diverter completely open and putting on a tub spot with diverter to diverter the water to the shower instead. Would that work or is this something I should hire a plumber for? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!
If its not diverting completely that means it’s the cartage inside that is messed up. Depends on the brand it might be a bïtch an a half to take off but its doable. The easiest way to try to fix this problem, sprey some WD40 and hopefully that loses thing up
Identify the brand, (and model number if possible) and purchase a new diverter stem assembly. Worst case, bring it in to a plumbing supply house to be identified.
