I need Schedule 40 PVC. I accidently bought an elbow at Home Depot that was listed as DWV. I managed to find one at Lowes that was listed as Schedule 40. They appear to be identical, as well as I can measure the wall thickness with calipers. Okay...I think that DWV interals with Schedule 40 wall thickness is a thing? So that must what the one at Home Depot was.

Now I need an adapter. This is the one from Lowes: Lowes PVC Fitting

I searched the LASCO site and found it under the Schedule 40 section. Lowes has it listed as Model #436015RMC, LASCO does not have the RMC. No idea what RMC means, but nothing came up with a quick search, so I assume it's not important. Great, so I'll buy this one.

Am I missing something? Why is it so hard to tell which fittings are DWV and which are Schedule 40 at Lowes/HD? I shouldn't have to search the manufacturer's site.
