These are not really chatbots as such, though they use the same tech, but I personally have more fun with things like AI Dungeon and NovelAI. The context memory is a thousand times longer (almost literally), and you're able to store persistent information that the AI takes into account when generating output. They're more like AI-assisted story writing, but they satisfy my AI need much, much better than any chatbot currently available. You are able to have dialogue just like with a chatbot, but you're also able to do much more. I feel like every chatbot is currently much too primitive because they can't store persistent information. Yes, not even Replika. Replika also has such a horrendous context memory that I'd probably say it's one of, if not the worst, chatbot. It's impossible to have a natural conversation because the bot will forget three messages later what the topic is. It seems like every other bot does better at this crucial factor. When conversing with Replika, constant manual reinforcement of the topic is necessary, which just destroys the flow of the conversation completely. More on reddit.com
