I have the same problem on my Associate account for Germany. And I do have access to the e-mail account. Every time I change the password it still says the same thing. I e-mailed Amazon and haven't heard back yet. More on reddit.com

One major question I have is, how much of a 'following' do I need to show in order to be accepted? It used to be you had to generate 3 sales from affiliate links within 90 days or something like that. Maybe it's still like that. Should I go ahead and make a new account, and start purchasing everything via that account? Yes, create a business email address. Something not associated by your personal Amazon account & sign up for Amazon's affiliate program. Or can this wait until I actually have a following? Yes, wait until you have traffic to your site. If not sales within their specific time window, then you get rejected. Do I even need to purchase items from the account that will be the affiliate? No, fake sales = perma ban. Buying stuff from your own affiliate links = perma ban. More on reddit.com

you will automatically be accepted into the amazon programs - you need to make 3 sales within the first 6 months to continue with the program after that, at which point they will do an audit of your client facing material (ie, website).

You need to have a decent website setup. You need to make at least three (3) qualifying sales within the first 180 days of signing up. If you don’t meet this requirement, Amazon will close your account, but you can reapply in the future.

I just tried logging back into my amazon affiliate account and received this message "The e-mail address / mobile number and password you are using are not connected to an Associates account. If you don’t have an Amazon Associates account, please join now for free."
I don't have access to the email that my account was associated with, so I can't check to see if I received any emails about it. I forgot to change my email when I lost access to my old email.
I am wondering what could have caused this issue, and what to do from here.
I looked up the issue on google, and found that some people had this issue a few years ago, but then they were able to log back in a few days later, but not sure if this is the same issue.
I am wondering if this is what happens when your account is rejected after the first purchase was made.
My account wasn't that old, and I haven't had any sales up until when I couldn't log back in, so it wouldn't be a huge issue if I have to sign up again with my current email address, I would just have to change the links on my website.
