It's official, the Apple Vision Pro (600g~) + Battery pack (353g) is almost 1kg. Without the separated battery, it would be one of the heaviest headsets out there.
Without wheels my car would not be very good
More on reddit.comWesley Hilliard: Apple's MagSafe Battery Pack has more capacity than it seems - here's why. The MagSafe Battery Pack appears to have a tiny capacity when examining its milliamp-hour rating, but that isn't the whole story. Here are the battery ratings and what they mean to users.
Apple Magsafe Battery Pack - A few days in
iOS 14.2 has massive battery drain issues, especially on older iPhones.
If you’re like me and running iOS 14.2 on an older iPhone like the OG iPhone SE or 6S/7/8 then you might have noticed that the battery life is not what it used to be.
For me, battery life on 14.0 was horrible while on iOS 14.1 it looked a bit better. Now I’m on 14.2 and battery drain is bad again.
While it seems to be fine on standby, kinda trivial tasks like fetching eMails, texting a short message or opening Twitter seems to sap several percents of the battery in only a minute.
Today I found this forum post in the Apple dev forums, confirming that it might not just be me, it’s true for many folks, especially on old phones.
I don’t want to speculate what features of iOS 14 might contribute to this or even Apple „deliberately“ nerfing old batteries (my capacity is still at 93%) to persuade you to buy newer ones.
I only wanted to make a point that if you’re experiencing this, you are definitely not alone and that I hope that Apple fixes this very soon, as it makes using a phone in such a state impossible without a charger nearby.
That’s all.
Edit 1: Removed all widgets, as suggested by u/Starchedpie and battery drain seems as awful as before: Rebooted and unplugged from charger at 100% at around 1 PM (CET). Now it’s 6 PM and after sporadic use (occasionally check Reddit and eMails) I‘m on 54%...
Will try disabling Covid contact tracing tomorrow and see how that goes. If that fails, I might try a factory reset and restore from backup.
