I’m not sure what you would do to “refurbish” an Apple Pencil (beyond cleaning it up and adding a new tip). I’ve have very good results with Best Buy’s Open Box stuff. Most of the stuff is brand new (despite what BB lists it as). I bought an Open Box Apple Watch (it was the current gen at the time) for almost half off and was listed as “poor condition”. I asked to see it and the BB employee took it out of the box - not a scratch or mark anywhere. Powered it on and worked like new. To this day I have no idea what they meant, but bought it, got Apple Care on it and it;s been working ever since. More on reddit.com

Just bought a refurbished Pencil Pro from Best Buy but it doesn’t appear the original owner unregistered their Pencil from iCloud. Albeit, the pencil works you can’t use the Find My option , which is one of the selling points of the Pencil Pro. Anyways, your mileage may vary but you need to cautious when you buy a used Pencil Pro

It's priced for $58 (orginal price $97 on std discount). It's a 10 month old pencil with both connector and nibs and the bill box.

I would not buy it. If there is another improved model on the market you will miss whatever problems that were corrected that made them bring out a new version. $58 is not a good deal in my opinion. If they would take $20 then do it. Offer than $20 and if they say $30, say $25 or leave it. I have never bought anything used that was trouble free. Or they could be one of those people who feels they have to have the latest and best and most expensive in which case they cast off would be worth buying, but not at almost the price of a new one.
