Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 7 in September 2021 alongside the new iPhones, and the Series 7 was a surprise because it did not match up with what we expected from rumors. Rumors indicated the Apple Watch Series 7 would feature a flat-edged design like the iPhone 13 models, but it does not.

14 September 2021 - Our guess is that one (if not a couple) of colors could be borrowed from the iPhone 13 color palette, given that's what Apple's implemented with the navy blue Apple Watch Series 6. This is definitely a smart move as that would allow consumers to match their fancy wearable to their new smartphone. Based on the above, we're going to take a wild guess and predict that some of the color options could be pink and bronze, as that is what seems to be the talk of the town concerning the iPhone 13 lineup. One of the latest rumors claims that the pink color could be introduced to the iPhone 13 mini and standard models, while the bronze or 'sunset gold' option could be seen in the Pro and Pro Max models.

17 February 2019 - The images were initially posted on a Facebook group for Apple Watch enthusiasts, but it has been taken down since its posting. The poster of the photos claimed that they are working for a carrier who was testing the Series 7 before it officially goes on sale "later this fall."

Its unlikely that Apple would risk a price increase as it would only weaken its position against the competitors. We’ll know more about the upcoming Apple wearables in the next week or two. Let’s just hope that the new Apple Watch 7 series will live up to the expectations, just like the wearables its predecessors have been in the past

We haven’t stumbled upon any major rumours regarding the Apple Watch’s price, which is usually a good sign. The Apple Watch Series 7 started from £369, and we’d expect the new Apple Watch to cost roughly the same (with potentially a small increase).

Rumors point to a larger Apple Watch and a new rugged model, but nothing recent suggests a redesign. With only a few weeks until Apple's fall announcements, it isn't clear if the flat-sided redesign is happening.

16 September 2021 - Two weeks before the Series 7 was announced, a report revealed that Apple and its suppliers were struggling to reach "satisfactory" quality levels of the device during "small-scale" production. While some may speculate the possibility that coupled with the Apple Watch's small footprint and rumored flat-edges, Apple had to suddenly make last-minute design changes, it's worth noting that Apple plans and tests products months, if not years in advance, so it would certainly be unprecedented and nearly impossible for the company to have altered its plans at such a late date.
