But when i starting my PC via button on front panel - it's dead, not booting at all, no sound, no coolers no led, nothing, and Bios Flashback LED staring blinking green on back panel.

October 4, 2024 - It happens only with coldboot(windows > shutdown) and not with reboot, also not hapenning if I use hibernate though I only tested with hibernate a few times. It also usually doesn't happen immediately after shutdown, as in: if I tried to boot the PC again immediately (within 1 min) after shutdown it usually works (though I did encounter the problem a few times). The current BIOS version is 3024. I updated to this version a few days ago via BIOS menu (not BIOS flashback) after I have this issue, and also cleared CMOS afterward.

Insert the Pendrive into the flashback port 8. Press the flashback button for 3 or 4 seconds (and sometimes longer) But the result is that the button does not light at any time It seems that the board detects that it has the pendrive inserted since the light of the pendrive if light.

February 15, 2023 - Well, with the two USB 3.0 drives I was testing (both formatted as FAT32), I got three blinks, then the LED stayed lit—an indication the process did not succeed. So I finally tried again with the USB 2.0 drive, and lo and behold, the thing finally worked—and now in BIOS I have options for setting the AMD Eco modes for lower TDP/energy consumption at basically the same performance. I don't know how motherboard BIOS updates are still so flaky after all these years, but I guess it's better than requiring a USB-to-TTL device and some terminal hacking to flash it like you do on many ARM SBCs!

November 30, 2016 - could be that the bios flashback button is stuck on or shorted internally, causing it to stay in flashback mode my faith in asus has dwindled to rather low. just bought a maximus viii gene and had it go to crap in 2 weeks. thought it was dead. had to flash every bios they offered.
