You have to use the BIOS Flashback method when downgrading AGESA versions.
Any BIOS from 2409 and after should work.

use the ez flash 3 in the bios it self "Do Not flash from windows" heheh... also it may reboot a few times updateing a differnt things just let it do its thing. More on reddit.com

Format a min 8gb flash drive and make sure its connected to your Pc then go to https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z790-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_download/ , choose your operation system (under bios and firmware), download it and extract it into your flash (USB) drive you can extract it in a folder on your desktop then move it to your USB drive then click on rename and you see bios name changes , reboot your PC and hold Del or F2 to get to the bios , go to tools and click on EZ Flash, find your Driver and bios (your motherboard will tell you when you find it) then click on next and it will do its magic More on reddit.com

First of all, sorry for my bad english
I have a TUF GAMING B450M PLUS II and recently bought a Ryzen 5700G. I updated the BIOS to the last version (3802), just to figure out that I can't use the new CPU so I downgraded to the 3604 and then went a few more versions lower (none of those solved the problem), but a friend told me that I should directly use the 2409 version, that one where they added the support.
I tried to use that version, I downloaded the file and made the rename with the file like the other BIOS versions but with only that version, the flash program says that "The selected file is not a proper bios", the file is from the same page than the other files, but that one just don't work.
Has anyone an advice/suggestion?

How to properly update bios?
Firstly I would like to state that I am not super tech savvy by any means. I will be receiving the Asus ROG Strix Z790-e by the 16th. I have gone and looked into a lot of resources in regards to this mb and I have noticed that on the asus website that it says when updating the bios to please download the Intel ME Update to ensure optimized system settings. Do I need to completely boot the system download Windows 11 just to update the Intel ME Update before just flashing the motherboard to the newest Bios Version 0816? How would you go about this? I know I am ignorant but wish to be enlightened. Thanks for any and all helpful responses. As it stands I was going to update the bios before even downloading Windows 11 but idk if it will cause instability since they want me to download the Intel ME first.

Asus Rog Strix Z790-e, Intel 13900k, 2x32 G-Skill 6400, 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro and Asus 4090 Strix OC.
