March 6, 2024 - Had another bF Q code this evening. Happens very infrequently and only with a reboot. It just sticks at bF and then shuts down. I hit the power and went to the bios and increased the SAV another 0.01V. I now have the SAV for this memory at 0.900V. As Praz stated, the memory is OK as I ran memtest 5.01 again-2 passes with no errors.

Funny thing is bF is what the MB q-code shows I thought it was 6F so bF says reserved for future ami codes however the asus manual is printed BF in capitals and a 6F code is printed just as typed.A little confusing. Based on the discussion in the ROG forums, that seems to be a memory related issue, since it was on two motherboards now, It might be a bad memory stick.

March 7, 2024 - so guys i was encoding and got a bluescreen. Hit the retry button, lower the cpu multiplyer a bit and now i only get a 6F error in the MB - 567045

March 6, 2024 - On +0.08 I couldn't post no matter how many times I tried, I think this was just short of being enough voltage for the last DIMMs to be stable but enough that the channel wouldn't be closed. Then the magic adjustment number... +0.1! This gave me a total System agent voltage of 0.960 and I have 16GB on every boot, with the bonus of the Q-code errors every few boots going away (the 6F error had returned again just after my last post).

June 6, 2016 - Error code is still present ... 1| Is your BIOS up to date? 2| In your manual, page 1-29, System Agent DXE initialization (System Agent module specific). Disassemble the system and see if there are any bent CPU socket pins+ if the system powers up with one DIMM populated, i.e DIMM A2. 3| Does the ram without X.M.P enabled(2133MHz by default) show the same issue on your Q-Code?

October 16, 2021 - I am getting error code bf or 6f on my Asus x99 motherboard. It's only detecting 16gb ram out of 32 and as of today it's only detecting 8gb ram. All 4 ram stick are working fine when plug in a different slot one by one. Is it a motherboard issue or some power issue with the ram?

I see your MACHINIST X99 MD8 Dual CPU motherboard only provides video output with one Xeon 2697 v4 processor, but it shows Error 6F when both CPUs are installed. ... June 9, 2021 - The error occurred about half of the time they rebooted their PC, but it had never happened to me before. There was another post about the same issue but they had different specs than I did. The fix is at the bottom of the page, but I strongly suggest reading this post! For the uninitiated, some newer motherboards (such as the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z) have small displays attached to the board itself, which show codes that can help users diagnose hardware and BIOS-related issues.

March 6, 2024 - I ran prime just ten mins ago and got the blue screen with an unrecoverable error. i decided to reboot in bios, up the vcore back to 1.3 and see what happened. It wouldnt boot and gave me the 6f code which relates to memory. I then took off XMP and it booted... a bit confused now what happened to cause BS and now thinking i have a bad stick possibly?
