ASUS ROG Hyperion GR701 PC Gaming Case Review | OC3D Forums
Hyperion case has been brutal - icing on the cake
Amazon paid me not to return the Hyperion, and now it's kinda grown on me

I decided to move my parts from an ancient Corsair crystal case to a fancy $400 ROG Hyperion case since I got a 4080 super and it’s huge. It’s been fine but honestly not much more room to built than the tiny old crystal case, back panel is squeezed for space.
I was tempted to go dual chamber and most certainly will next time. The doors don’t close well, nothing seals them, and the PCI-E slots are impossible to screw off without a long skinny screwdriver. No thumb screws and you have to go through tiny holes to get to the screws or have a tiny screwdriver. I have a 2” one that was too long even. Icing on the cake is when I went to go finish the build the sticker telling me the door is glass doesn’t even peel off. Idk what I was thinking with this thing.
I felt like making a change after rocking Thermaltake's CTE T500 case for awhile so I ordered the ROG Hyperion off Amazon. It came in its enormous box covered stickers warning of its weight, not for me but employees. and a shipping label indicating it had to be sent via freight, because it was so huge and heavy lol
I was impressed with the aesthetics but the airflow wasn't great - especially considering that for a full tower case it doesn't have that many fan mounts imo. I finally decided to return it, but Amazon offered a $200 credit just to keep it (I can only assume because the damn thing takes up half a warehouse shelf and every stage of it's transport risks a workers comp injury lol)
So, plied with a discount, I decided to see if I could rig up the rest of my unused 140mm fans in it and brute force some better airflow. Now I have 8 140mm's and 3 120mm's, and it's roughly on par with my old case temps so I'm much happier now.
Is it excessive? Yes! Is it a great value? Absolutely not! Does it look really cool? I gotta say, yes.

Hi all, just recieved my Asus Rog Hyperion. It comes with 4x 240 Fans connected to the Asus Rog Fan controller, it’s also connected to the frontpanel.
Am replacing these fans with 4x 240 iCUE fans and the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX LCD Liquid CPU Cooler - White.
Do I need to connect these 4 fans to the iCUE Link hub or to the Asus Rog fan controller?
Many thanks 😊
