I am on the same board, and i started with 64gb ram, and now have 128gb ram. Both sets were/are trident z. Did you enable xmp in the bios? My system wouldn't boot until i did. After that no issues. More on reddit.com

last month I build my first PC and started with 32 GB of Trident Z Neo 3600 CL16-16-16-36 memory (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839473/F4-3600C16D-32GTZN-Overview). Last week I got myself a second kit, but couldn’t get it running at 3600 MT/s).

Now I am looking into buying a complete 64 GB Kit and for my mainboard. ASUS does list compatibility for a few Trident Z Neo 4*16 GB kits (https://rog.asus.com/de/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x570-e-gaming-wifi-ii-model/helpdesk_qvl_memory) with the fastest one being this:

Does anyone on you use this particular 64GB CL16-16-16-36 kit successfully with an ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II?

Tl;dr: ASUS says a 64 GB G.Skill 64 GB. CL16-16-16-36 kit (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839857/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN) is not compatible with the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II. But G.Skill says it works with the Strix X570-E Gaming. Can you say if it will work or are you even using this kit successfully?

Hello everybody,

I am trying to decide between two equals it seems. If someone knows the difference between these two motherboards in normal language, I would love to hear it. The spec sheets don't really clarify anything for me, and it seems they both offer WIFI 6.

The II has wifi 6E (instead of just 6 like the original version of the board), but it uses the AMD/Mediatek adapter which may or may not be any good, instead of the Intel AX200 like the original version. I haven't used one yet, so I can't really say, but I've seen some negatives about the chipset it's based on, so I'm a bit hesitant to recommend it outright. Also, the II has added the Dynamic OC switcher from the x570 Dark Hero board, which allows switching automatically between PBO and manual CPU overclocking based on temperature. Otherwise, they're the same board.

the II has passive cooling for the chipset, so no fan and no noise.
