I just checked the motherboard. There is a sticker near the RAM that has the BIOS version that the motherboard shipped with. Check the version on that sticker against the list of updates here: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS-WI-FI/HelpDesk_BIOS/ . According to the link provided by u/dweller_12 ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS/HelpDesk_CPU/ ), if the version is newer than 2607, your motherboard is compatible with the 5600x out of the box. I am currently new to PC building and have some questions regarding the CPU and Motherboard compatibility. I currently have an Asus TUF Gaming X570-Pro (WI-FI) and an AMD Ryzen 5800X 8-core CPU. Are these compatible with each other and if so where can I find this information to apply? More on pcpartpicker.com

Hey so I’ve been wanting to get the x570 tuf plus (non wifi) with the Ryzen 5 5600x. But I’m wondering if it works with the zen 3 out of the box? Would I need to update bios? If so Does it have USB flashback. I saw some posts from around 7 months ago saying that it will soon be out of the box ready. But if anyone used these parts could you please let me know if it worked or what you had to do if it didn’t? Thx.

EDIT: Misunderstood your question. Sorry about that. u/dweller_12 is correct. Yes, it is. Just did a 5950x build with that mobo. The manual on the support page has all this information. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS/HelpDesk_Manual/ .

You need to look at the chipset (x570). It is part of the AM4 platform (LINK) and as a result will support any AM4 CPU, including the 5800X. However, support for some CPUs may have been introduced after a later BIOS update, so in some cases you need to update the BIOS before installing the CPU.
