Pants Recommendations for Gym Bros with Big Legs/Thighs 2020
Videos
I've been doing a blend of calisthenics, bodybuilding, and extreme plyometrics for almost two years now and I could never seem to find any bottoms that I could use for all three. I was hoping for some extra baggy sweatpants (almost like harem pants) that wouldn't be uncomfortable, wouldn't get gross after sweating occasionally, and most importantly, would look good whether with compression shirts or hoodies. Any recommendations would be much appreciated and I look forward to spending all of my money on sweats.
I'm not asking about women's pants or shorts.
If you're a dude and wear pants while working out, what are they? Sweatpants? Lightweight joggers? Something else? Got a favorite brand?
Sweatpants, running tights (loose or tight fit), etc.
That said, a pair of military cargo pants/BDUs have always been baggy enough for me and haven't ever inhibited range of motion.
Plus when ninjas come they can't see your legs.
For squats and deadlifts I wear anything that will stretch: sweats, track suit pants, etc. Whatever I wear I prefer that it's loose.
I'll wear basketball shorts if they have a lot of stretch built-in, but when deadlifting with shorts my shins take a beating.
I am looking for jeans/chinos/trousers that have extra room in the thighs/butt while still maintaining a slim taper at the ankle. Now before you report me for not using the search bar. I have searched this topic extensively and tried on most of the recommended options to little avail. Most recommendations only work for those with slightly larger than average thighs, or those recommended cuts have been modified/discontinued. Those of us with similar proportions to me could also greatly benefit from this thread. For reference I am 6'4, 215lbs, 34 waist, 25.5" thighs.
Common "big thighs" recommendations that are too tight for me in the thighs/butt: American Eagle athletic fit jeans, Abercrombie athletic skinny, Gap athletic fit jeans/chinos, Banana Republic Mason Fit chinos, Naked and Famous easy guy, anything from Uniqlo
Common "big thighs" recommendations that actually fit over my thighs: Banana Republic athletic tapered jeans (these have more room in the thighs than the BR Mason fit chinos for some reason), Lululemon commission pants classic (perfect fit for my thighs and tight taper at the ankles, but pretty expensive considering the recent drop in lululemon quality), Levi's 541 (not enough taper at the ankles, and no stretch in the fabric).
If anyone has any recommendations that fit similar to the three pants above, or would fit well for my proportions, please let me know. Budget is <$150CAD.
