Does a mattress topper really help?
What is the most comfortable mattress topper?
What thickness mattress topper should I get?
I have decided to purchase a memory foam mattress topper to help support me when I sleep (I'm about 230-240 lbs and a side or back sleeper with some back problems).
Although my mattress was comfortable when I first bought it I just need something to help distribute my weight evenly so I don't wake up with sore hips.
I've read conflicting things about topper depth. Some people say that 3 inches isn't going to be supportive for long enough for someone heavier. And other people have said that 4 inches "folds like a taco" when you sleep on it and you can't move.
Anyone have any experience or insight to add. I don't mind having to flip/rotate it every so often and replace it in a couple of years. I'd prefer that to being unable to sleep comfortably right off the bat. But I want to make sure it will support my back and hips.
I'm looking to get a mattress topper to soften up my firm mattress. Often there is a choice between a 2" and 3" topper, 3" being more expensive of course. If the cost wasn't much difference, should you always go for 3"?
I'm not looking for a huge change to my mattress, so I think a 2" could be enough to do the trick. I'm also a stomach sleeper so I don't want to "sink" in too much. I'm 6ft 185lbs so I'm kinda big, though, and I wonder if a 2" topper would flatten too much under my weight. But it depends on the material as well.
I dont know what topper I'm going to get. I was looking at the sleep on latex soft topper a few minutes ago and it seems good, but I have no idea until I try it I suppose. They also have a 1" topper as well which I haven't seen often. I would think that would be too thin, but I don't really know
Hi people!
My mattress is too firm. I want the softest, cloud like, mattress topper that I can melt into that is on the market. I don’t want to have to fluff it. Price isn’t a concern. Please let me know which plush mattress topper you think is the best.
Thank you!
