Never tried audio books, but I'd like to try it out. I work third shift with headphones for eight hours a day. My headphones have skip forward, backward, and play/pause functions.
I was hoping to find an app where the forward and backwards buttons skip a couple seconds instead of entire chapters.
Free would be preferred, but I'd be interested in paying if it provides good features.

I like smart audiobook player the best. It isn't the prettiest or most stylish interface, but after trying a few others, I returned to it everytime. Sirin looks nicer but is less feature rich, less intuitive and a bit slower to scan for titles. Oh my mistake re-reading your post you're asking for a platform for books, not a player. Well you're pretty limited in that regard. Libby with your library is the obvious and common answer.
