not yet... I'm searching for a phone plan with a phone rental. At the end of my contract from blackfriday 2 years ago., which was $45 for 60 gb inc a pixel 8 pro. The best price I'm getting thus far is $70 dollars for a similar plan with a pixel 10 pro. Kinda crazy Answer from bzig on reddit.com

r/PersonalFinanceCanada on Reddit: Best price tracking sites for Black Friday
November 24, 2025 -

I'm planning to buy an air fryer this Black Friday and want to make sure I’m actually getting a deal and not just a "marked up to mark down" price. I already know about CamelCamelCamel for Amazon history, but are there any better alternatives that track other e-stores? I'm trying to cast a wide net to compare prices across different sites. Any specific tools or browser extensions you guys swear by? Thanks!

October 5, 2024 -

Found no thread for Black Friday Deals for this year, so I thought to initiate it.

Me personally, I am spending less than quarter on some Xbox games that I have been eyeing for a while.

I am also switching my cellphone carrier plan tonight to enable 5G with better roaming options.

My wife and I booked a Royal Caribbean cruise for January’25 in a Black Friday sale, and paid less than average rates for the booking and some excursions.

Upgraded our entire bedding (better pillows, duvets, and a mattress) for some $ savings.

Share your finds that offer great savings!

The season of rampant consumerism at irresistible discounts is upon us, and everyone loves a deal on a phone we don't need, a TV just a bit bigger than the perfectly serviceable one we already have, or a height of fashion outfit we probably won't wear.

Please use this thread to post the deals you've found, ask about the ones you're looking for, or even boast about the ones your business is offering (after all, we'd rather hear about and support local businesses than links to mass produced crap from Amazon).

BF/CM links and posts outside of this one will be removed without notice.

Despite searching through 100s of posts here, there’s no $100 winter parkas I can find in the city or online. I’m looking specifically for the ones with a faux fur on the hood, as I’m not well acquainted with the cold here and need max protection. I hate layering and I’m not interested in the used ones either. Am I cooked?

It seems like all the companies just increase the base price then slap on a 25% sale...

Are there any places (online or physical) that have actual black Friday deals?

I'm looking for places to visit today after work, but I can only think of Devonshire mall, amazon, and maybe the outlet mall... Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I’m thinking about upgrading my IPhone 12 which I’ve had for a few years now. The holiday season is the best time of year. Anyone know the best Black Friday deals or should I wait until Boxing Day?

Black Friday is usually better than Boxing Day, but the best Black Friday deals are not out yet. There is a Black Friday master deal thread on the Redflagdeals forum that is the go-to source for deals.

For sanity sake, in advance of Black Friday for anyone who is not financing a phone: You should be able to spend around, or less than, $40 a month for a decent plan with a reasonable data allotment. You can spend even less if some of it is more restrictive (autopay credits, LTE only, lower data, no hotspot). If you need or want Canada/USA/Mex roaming for free, you should be in the $50-70 range, depending on the exact terms. The lowest possible plans with a decent amount of data, Canada wide calling and texting are $30. There are examples of even less costly plans, or deals far better than what I just described, but I'm trying to tell you what kind of prices are EASILY achievable today. If you spend a lot more and these numbers seem crazy low to you, you're out of touch with how things have changed over the last few years. Welcome to the new mobile market, time to save your wallet. If you find a deal you really want - Switching is easy now with eSIM and online self serve - you sign up at the new provider and they assign you a new temporary number. You install the eSIM from the new provider (or you can ask for a physical SIM). Then you transfer your number from your old provider to the new one, which cancels the plan at the old provider. It takes about 10 mins for the number to move over sometimes, as your sim needs to reprovision it. If you've been loyal a long time the concept of moving providers might seem crazy, but it could not be more trivial.

Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy a couple of Christmas gifts and figured I’d take advantage of Black Friday deals. I logged into Amazon and I see these big discounts… but honestly I’m not sure if they’re real discounts or just inflated “original prices” to make the deal look better. Specifically, I’ve been looking at JBL speakers, and the discounts seem great (44% off), but I can’t help but think these items were always around that price and Amazon just adds a big % to make people buy. Are Amazon Black Friday deals actually legit? Or is this mostly psychological pricing? Curious what others think, especially about Amazon deals in general. Thanks!

r/saskatoon on Reddit: What are the best LOCAL Black Friday deals in Saskatoon this year?
October 14, 2025 -

Trying to keep my Black Friday spending local this year instead of sending everything to Amazon.

What Saskatoon businesses are running good BF deals? i.e. local retail, restaurants/breweries, experiences, ... anything that’s worth checking out!

I'll start - here's a few I've seen:

  • Amazing Stories on 8th street has 80% clearance boardgames (huge selection, won't last), and lots of other deal on comics and toys.

  • NextGen automotive install has buy one, get one $100 off on drone remote starters.

  • Prairie Proud on Broadway has a big "up to" 50% off sale. Saw on their Instagram.

Looking for more places I can support this weekend. Lay ’em on me 👇
