Hey everyone. I've been out of the loop for a couple years when it comes to server hosting, and I'm looking for the most affordable options out there right now.
I used to use Joe's Datacenter and was only paying $68/mo for a decent little Xeon server with Windows Server installed on it, but now that they've been bought out they only have 2 options and they're both way more expensive for like half the value.
I don't do anything super special, just run some games for my friends and family. Might try to build a website and/or an SMTP server of some sort, as I've been teaching myself some of the basics. Not sure yet.
I need to buy a dedicated server for my servers, I'm searching for something cheap yet powerful and located in Europe
I’m diving into the world of dedicated servers and trying to find the best provider for my needs. As a geek who loves tinkering with tech, I want to make an informed decision rather than just picking the first company that pops up on Google.
For those of you who’ve been down this road, what are the key things you look for in a dedicated server provider?
Also, if you’ve had horror stories or great experiences, I’d love to hear them. I’m especially curious about underrated companies that aren’t OVH, Hetzner, or Leaseweb but still deliver solid performance.
Appreciate any insights from the pros here!
I'm struggling at this moment.
I had rented a Dedicated Server at Hetzner, but after a few difficulties with the usage of Robot and the server itself i have cancelled it. But i can't seem to find a good alternative to Hetzner.
I will describe my wishes below
-At least 8 cores
-At least 32GB ram
-2x512GB SSD + 1TB SSD/HDD or 2x2TB SSD
-IPV4 address
-Server Location in Europe
-No installation fees or commitment
-Maximum price of 65€ per month
-Optional: Supports installation of OS via ISO
I may understand that what i am asking is impossible, but if Hetzner can provide it, more companies could.. right?
Any advice is welcome :)
Hi, I'm looking for a dedicated server. Bare metal, nothing more, nothing less. I feel like I'm going crazy looking for this but I cannot find one that 10 people don't say "AVOID AT ALL COSTS". Preferably East Cost, but I'm open to other opens. I am also open to building a server, mailing it out, and doing a colocation. Just please, anything!
Edit: Looking for between AMD is a preferred, but not needed, I'll take any decent CPU with more than 16 cores. 64-128gb of RAM, need at least 2 SSDs 512gb and above. Other storage is more than welcome. I can even go less than this on everything but storage, but I'm open to anything!
Thank you!
A few friends and I are really looking into renting a dedicated server so we can play the new Call to Arms update together. None of us have much experience setting up or running a dedicated server, so we’re not really sure where to start and lot of my friends are on Xbox.
Does anyone have recommendations for good hosting providers? Are there any hosts that are especially popular or reliable for Valheim? Also, if anyone knows how much RAM is typically needed, that would be really helpful.
I’ve done a good bit of research so far and found a few good options, like Pine Hosting, HostHavoc, ScalaCube, GTXGaming, DatHost, GPortal, ValHost, GhostCap, and MintServers but it all seems so overwhelming.
Hey guys.
I'm looking for advice on which provider I can use for dedicated hosting. I'll be hosting about 50 websites with 10 of them being high traffic.
I've tried Xneelo, A2Hosting and InMotion hosting but seem to keep running into issues with each one that end up badly impacting the business.
Would really appreciate some pointers to providers I can try that would be reliable and performant.

Hey guys, is anyone here hosting big websites, e-commerce stores, or media-heavy sites on dedicated servers? I'm looking for recommendations on the best dedicated server providers, especially for high-traffic websites. Any hosts you’ve been using lately?
I’ve had some bad experiences in the past, especially with hidden fees, so I definitely want to avoid that.
Appreciate any tips!
I'm looking to rent a private space for a survival crafting project but want to find a host that stays consistently smooth and lag-free throughout 2026. Does anyone have experience with a provider that offers great uptime and easy setup for a small group of friends without being too obvious about which specific title it's for?
I am searching for honest Reddit recommendations on the best dedicated server hosting providers. Most review sites feel biased or affiliate driven, so I wanted to ask real users here.
My main requirements are stable performance, reliable hardware, transparent pricing, and decent support. Location flexibility is a plus, but uptime and long term reliability matter more. This will be used for production workloads, not testing.
For people who are already using dedicated servers, which providers have actually been solid for you over time? Also interested in hearing who to avoid and why.
Looking forward to real experiences from the Reddit community.
Location i am targeting: Europe
Does anyone have any experience working with any US-based dedicated server providers like IONOS?
I am looking for a service similar to them and Hetzner to move my instances off of AWS. I wish they had US-based servers as they have raving reviews.
Any recommendations or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
I am looking for a reliable dedicated server provider in the USA with good performance, stable hardware, and fair pricing. This will be used for multiple websites and heavier workloads.
Which providers are worth considering, and which ones should be avoided based on your experience?
I'm looking for a potential replacement for Nixihost. I love them, but their dedicated server plan just increased about 55%, from $145 to $225. I'm currently not generating revenue with the $145 server, so I think I may need to migrate until I grow more to keep my overhead low.
Here is the current plan:
CPU: 1x Intel Xeon E3-1270 v6 (Quad Core 4.2GHz)
RAM: 32GB RAM
HDD1: 2x 960GB SSD (SW RAID1)
HDD2: 1x 4TB SATA HDD (Daily/Weekly/Monthly backups)
Bandwidth: 10TB Bandwidth
Uplink: 1000mbps
OS: AlmaLinux 9 (64-bit)
Control Panel: cPanel License (100 Accounts)
Management: Fully Managed
Location: Houston, TX (NixiHost IAH1)
I was thinking about Reliablesite, for essentially the same set up, I saw that it's only $129/mo. Looking for similar specs/hosting options around the ~$150 price point. To clarify, I am using the server for cPanel/WP I have about 10 websites now. Most of them are for nonprofit organizations, so they either are getting very cheap hosting, or I waive it altogether based on their revenue streams.
Edit: Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I will be comparing dedicated server offerings, as well as Panel integrations. With all of the updated info I’ll be able to strike an economical middle ground for sure. I appreciate it! I’ll make a post about what I end up doing if you guys are interested.
I want to start a server with my friends but we aren't all in the same timezone to host coop. I need a 24/7 server so who is the best enshrouded server host?
Anyone have experience on the topic?
Chose This Provider in the end. thx
Dedicated hosting shortly up for renewal. Looking for dedicated server with cPanel & 128GB+ RAM to host a single website (high memory requirements due to big MySQL database). Website mainly uses PHP & MySQL. Ideally, hosting would be located in USA as most traffic is from there.
Hello everyone again, I'm looking for stable dedicated servers. I'm coming from OVH, where their network has been failing significantly (to the point that they agreed to cancel my contract due to non-performance). I'm also looking for SparkedHost, where there are days of network instability, with multiple connections dropping for a few seconds. (I should clarify that this isn't my problem, as there are even reports from several clients.)
Simply that, I'm looking for stability, where there are no issues.
I've looked at sites like InterServer, HostKey, and mevspace, but I don't know how good those options are.
I need a dedicated server. I have used Hetzner and Contabo in the past. Due to the recent negative reviews about Contabo, I am now considering Hetzner's EX44. I'm looking for a reliable provider with good support and decent pricing. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions for it?
