Hey all! I'm in the market for my first gaming laptop. Yet despite all my own research, everywhere I look all the best options within my price range seem to be 16" (like Lenovo's Legion 5). Are there really no good mid-range 17"-18" rigs out there? It seems like the only ones that have both performance and size are 2500 to 3000+. But even my current dinky 300$ HP has a 17" screen (which I love), and I'd hate to pay all that money to somehow have less... And honestly, the hardware on those is probably way more serious than I need.
I don't need the top of the line or max performance value out of every dollar; I just want something that can handle older modded games and memory hogs like the Sims 4 and Skyrim on high graphics smoothly, and any newer games I might throw at it on mid to high. Don't care so much about resolution, slimness, portability, OLED or anything like that - really, I just want a laptop with a nice graphics card, lots of memory (or room to upgrade memory if it doesn't come with 32/64GBs), and big chunky screen.
