Seriously considering upgrading my iPhone 13 to the 16 Pro Max, especially with this Verizon deal. They're saying they'll pay off my current phone and I can keep my basic unlimited plan. Plus, I'd get $830 in trade-in value towards the new phone. I know i would just have to pay extra to upgrade to the 16 pro max.
My 13 has been feeling super slow and laggy lately, so the speed boost of the 16 Pro Max is really appealing. But now I'm also wondering if i should just wait for the iPhone 17 Pro Max that's likely coming out later this year?
Is the 16 Pro Max a big enough jump to justify the cost now with this deal, or is it smarter to hold out for whatever improvements the 17 Pro Max might bring? Are there any potential downsides to waiting?

No. They will somehow find a way to mess up the trade. You won’t get the proper credit. You’ll be stuck in customer service hell. Ask me how I know.

T-Mobile at the time didn't have such great promotions so I was always paying full price for the phones spread over 24 months. I personally don't see myself leaving Verizon in the future and I'm happy with their service so might as well take advantage of the promos. I myself currently have the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB and got it within 1 month of it being released for which I was able to get $800 credit for my iPhone 11 Pro Max at the time.

My phone is paid off through the 36 month Verizon credits, but I don’t see an option to upgrade my phone and retain my current plan (5G Get More). It seems the only way I can upgrade my phone is by switching to the Unlimited Ultimate plan which I don’t want to do. I’m guessing my only option is to pay for the 16 pro/pro max for full price?

you can “upgrade“ and finance, you just won’t’ get the special trade in deals. You can keep your plan if you do that way. what happens if you choose to not trade in, and just finance it?
