I'm looking for a thin and light laptop with a good battery life preferably around 7-8 hourse on full charge. I'm going to be using it exclusively for work/programming and maybe some daily stuff (no gaming). My budget is around 1000 usd. Good screen, good battery life and good build quality and atleast 16gb ram is mainly what I want. Macbooks are out of my budget as the 16gb ram upgrade is too costly. My current choices are -
1.) Lenovo IdeaPad slim 5 intel i7 13700H
2.) Asus Zenbook 14 oled AMD ryzen 5 7530U
3.) Acer Swift Go 14 oled i7 13700H
What would be the best choice among these and feel free to suggest other options.

As the title suggests. I'm wondering what's actually REALLY a laptop that's actually worth it for students. For context, because I'm having a lot of film production projects. I need something that is lightweight in my backpack as I will be going place by place to film and edit stuff. But I also need to use Adobe Creative Suites and especially Davinci Resolve without often crashing or long loads. Like most ordinary experiences, I'm starting to feel annoyed by salesman in certain franchises advicing me to buy the most expensive models displaying in their store. They are coming as Ĥelpful People sometimes I get it but the thing is either too overpriced. Or the worst specs I have ever seen which I'm not sure how they think it's okay to display it.
Any recs is deeply appreciated

Latest MacBook or MacBook Air (if lightweight is the predominant factor). Works with any Adobe software. If you have any problems can be fixed by Apple in any store. If you need more power or storage I would question whether a laptop is really the right solution. (def not lightweight).

It's that annoying word 'laptop' that makes things so difficult. I wouldn't ask anyone else to do this, but I was into film production I'd do something unexpected. I'd ask if there was a place for me to plug in. If yes -- I'd bring a powerful Mini PC, keyboard, and mouse with me. With GOBS of RAM and storage, which run pricier on a laptop A portable 15 inch monitor, which for some reason Amazon hands away these days If no -- 3. I'd bring a Jackery as well This way I wouldn't be afraid of stressing my laptop. I'll let someone else answer here, just sayin'
