r/Filme on Reddit: Disney Plus has more good movies than you think
April 10, 2025 -

As the biggest movie nerd in my friend group/family, I often get asked for recommendations. That's why I made a list for Disney+, which has gotten way longer than you'd expect. Disney+ actually has a lot of good movies, but the UI sucks and only recommends crap.

Here's my list, it's pretty diverse with comedy, drama, and action. Most are classic popcorn flicks or hidden gems for everyone, nothing artsy-fartsy:

Fantastic Mr Fox, Isle Of Dogs, Die Hard, 500 Days Of Summer, Amélie, Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3, Juno, Dead Poets Society, Hamilton, Banshees Of Inisherin, Black Swan, Shape Of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Favourite, The Last Duel, Jojo Rabbit, Titanic, Nightmare Alley, Fight Club, The Martian, Holes, Heat, Juno, L.A. Confidential, Life Of Pi, The Devil Wears Prada, The Lion King (1994), Mrs. Doubtfire, White Men Can't Jump (1992), Master And Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Thin Red Line

I hope you can use this, feel free to give feedback and more recommendations.

Best Movies On Disney Plus - Reddit
It's my favorite Disney show-I think ever. It's way different than what you've got downloaded, but it's funny and is totally an age-appropriate, cuter version of a show that adult swim made. ... I just watched it and it's probably the best movie that came out last year ( Atleast for me ) .... i would like to discuss if anyone's watched it and up ? ... It’s a great movie with great acting, but from all the movies I seen on Disney+ from 2022, I personally enjoyed Prey, Banshees of Inisherin, See How They Run, and The Bob’s Burgers Movie more than The Menu.

I'm looking for movie recommendations currently available on Disney+. Now I am going to watch Alien: Romulus. I will also try to watch fight club.

  • It would be better if it was made after 2010.

  • Recommendations can be from any production studio.

Already watched:
MI: 4,5,6,7
Pirates of the Caribbean series
Marvel series
Avatar movies
prey
Jack reacher series,oblivion,world war z.
toy story 2,3,4

These are only movies I remember now. Although I didn't watch all of them on disney+, but they are available on disney+.

  • the fosters

  • family guy

  • things like dateline/48 hour mystery

  • home alone

  • up

  • monsters inc

  • finding nemo/finding dory

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! I’m not usually a big TV watcher but I’m spending more time exhausted in bed right now, so I’m bored and need a distraction 😝

August 22, 2024 -

I'm not usually a fan of streaming service originals, but Disney+ has has a few good ones in my opinion. My favorites are probably Hocus Pocus 2, Lady and the Tramp, and Noel. As for tv shows, I liked WandaVision and She Hulk, and I'm not even a marvel fan. Last but not least I thought The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder was good.

2 weeks ago - I have to give a special mention to Anastasia as it’s a firm childhood favourite and now owned by Disney but not an original Disney production (was created by 20th Century Fox). ETA: Bambi and Dumbo are beautiful movies but they broke my little childhood heart too much to be fondly remembered/re-watched · ETA x2: okay to not also give VERY special mention to Peter Pan, Oliver in Company and The Jungle Book feels like crimes against humanity. There are too many wonderful ones to choose.

Hi people! Can you give me some advice about movies and tv series to watch on Disney+? I’m stuck in a bad loop and everyday I’m searching for something to watch and I can’t find anything that I like. Maybe I’m the problem idk😅 I’m open to everything, from drama to horror. I just need something nice to watch. Maybe the Italian version it’s a little bit different I guess. So, if you can help me write some of your favorite shows! Thank you and have a great day😁

Edit: thank you people you are so kind

Hey there. I got Disney+ for the sole purpose of watching WandaVision. I already binge-watched it and I’m currently watching Loki. But I love all kinds of Disney movies and to be honest have seen a lot of them. But what are some movies/shows I should add to my watch-list?
