Hi there!

So... My husband and I are currently searching for a new vacuum that might be able to deal with my long hair that sheds like crazy. Our current stick vacuum gets hair wrapped around the roll, and it's super annoying (and kind of gross..) cutting it off. Are there any vacuums out there that are made for this kind of thing? We were looking at pet vacuums initially, but honestly don't know what to look for. If at all possible, a smaller/lighter-weight vacuum would be ideal since we live in a very small apartment, and mostly just use it on our area rug in the living room.

So, I have long hair. My cat has long hair... We got hair everywhere along with a bunch of other things as I'm a recovering hoarder. And I've been though so many vaccums...

The problem I'm having is that hair will wrap around and get stuck where the brush attaches to the vacuum. I do all I can to avoid it - I check frequently and clean the brush as I go around a room or spot. Usually only get a yard squared of vacuuming done then check and clean and keep going... But... sometimes a hair will get wrapped just wrong... and then we got a problem. And the attempt to fix it often breaks the vacume or the brush where they attach to each other. My grandparents old vacuum I inherited never had this problem but it gave out and no one is willing to fix it and grandad isnt around anymore to do it. Can someone suggest a vacuum that won't do this?
