Are gaming headsets good for voice recording?
Gaming headsets are generally okay for basic communication and in-game chat but fall short of dedicated microphones in terms of audio quality. For professional voice recording, opt for an external microphone specifically designed for high-quality audio capture.
Should I buy an external microphone?
If youโre looking to produce a gaming voiceover or just really want your voice to come out crystal clear when talking to your teammates, you might want to consider one of our best gaming microphones or even one of our best podcasting mics. An external mic will almost always give you a better sound simply because theyโre designed to produce high-quality audio and reproduce a natural frequency response. Depending on the type of microphone you buy, you may need to purchase additional equipment in order to power it. If you just need the mic to do the job of administering communication between you and your teammates and donโt want to spend too much, a headset with a mic will do the trick. Additionally, because a headset mic is often physically closer to your mouth than an external mic, it can be better for canceling out keyboard-clicking sounds.
Will gaming headsets work with smartphones?
If you choose a wired gaming headset with a 3.5mm cable, it will be compatible with your smartphone, given your smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, a wireless gaming headset will not be compatible with a smartphone because smartphones connect wirelessly to headphones through Bluetooth, whereas gaming headsets typically use 2.4GHz radio frequency connections.
Hello.
Im looking for gaming headset that actually f'ing works. Right now im using my Razer Kraken Ultimate, they have 5 years, the cable is wide open in many places, and i can hear more on the left than the right. They were "fine" for the past 5 years but it's time to replace them since they have not a lot of life left in them. I also do realise that Razer headphones are more about the brand than the sound itself.
I got myself Steelseries Arctis nova pro X today, and already have to return them, they arent very comfortable around the ears (thats the least annoying part) But the microphone is absolutely garbage, or maybe i got a faulty one? (a lot of people complained on it) Anyways nobody can hear me, i can play with settings all day long and it wont help, im also not really into having extra program or 2 on my PC just so others can barely hear me.
Call me old timed or stupid, but i prefer wired headsets, i was thinking about steelseries nova 7, but they only come in wireless. (and its again steelseries with their microphones)
What else could you guys recommend me? (If anything) Im mainly looking for good headset (mostly FPS games) with microphone that works, i do not expect the microphone to be top tier, i just want others to hear me speak.
Budget would be around 220 Euros, max 250 if the headset is absolutely worth its price.
Looking for a good one that is this budget and has a good mic and can last long๐ธ
All the reviews are for console. I've had lots of issues with wireless headset (with Mic) where the Bluetooth is fine for headset but crap for the mic.
Any good options?
Hello, I've wanted to change my headset with great mic quality recently, especially the wireless one, because I have a lot of wire stuff in my room, and sometimes it will all get tangled up which is quite annoying. I have do some research and found some options listed below:
Astro A50 Gen 5.
Corsair HS80. This is what I want to buy the most, the mic quality is very decent for a wireless headset IMO, and it also has a great price.
Blackshark v2 Pro 2023. Great mic quality, but I've heard that the build quality is terrible.
I can afford A50, but I still prefer to look for the cheaper option, because I don't really need the "best" one, one that is good enough will do for me. What do you guys think? Is HS80 great? or any other recommendation?
