r/Bitwarden on Reddit: Is having Bitwarden on an iPhone a good idea?
February 8, 2023 -
I have Bitwarden on my iPhone with TOTP, but I also have Apple's built-in iOS password manager using Face ID (or numerical code). I really have no choice but to use the Apple manager, but I can limit what I store there. Should I just get rid of Bitwarden on my phone? Which is more secure and why?

Have no choice? You can disable Apple Keychain Passwords. I only have Bitwarden on my iPhone. I also have Raivo OTP.

I really have no choice but to use the Apple manager why? is it a company phone and they only want you storing credentials in the built-in manager? Regarding what is more secure, that's difficult to say: the built-in password manager got way more people trying to hack it and money into it, which could be a good thing or bad thing Bitwarden is open source so anybody can review the source code Consequence of that: Apple might have a backdoor, we'd never know Another consequence: can't actually prove how Apple secures your vault in the cloud, and difficult to review how they do it on the client You can self host Bitwarden, so you know where your data is stored. I don't think you can disable FaceID for the built-in manager, so a malicious person or law enforcement could just hold up the phone in front of you and unlock it, revealing your accounts and passwords.

iPhone asks for master password upon every attempt - Password Manager - Bitwarden Community Forums
July 2, 2024 - I use a real phone but my sister uses an iPhone and i just set her up with Bitwarden this weekend. All is good with the computer use and i found the keyboard auto-fill instructions so she can use the app on her iPhone. Unfortunately, every single time we try to autofill an account (web page or app), Bitwarden is asking her for the master password.

IOS: save new account's credential automatically on iPhone - Password Manager - Bitwarden Community Forums
October 26, 2022 - Hi, i use bitwarden on iPhone but it doesnβt ask to add the new login informations to the app vault. This is very frustrating, since you have to open bitwarden app, fill manually all the data like Url, name, email and generate the password, and then copy the email and password (multiple steps required) and go back and forth trough the app and the bitwarden app to fullfill the form.

Auto-Fill on iOS and applications - Password Manager - Bitwarden Community Forums
March 3, 2024 - This may be a very stupid question -in fact I know it is - but Iβm gonna ask it anyway. I am struggling to understand how to get birwarden to autofill passwords for my iOS apps - so I donβt have to search for it and select it - it will do it - automatically.

August 28, 2022 - This works great on my home computer, but trying to get it to work on my iPhone is frustrating and, so far, impossible.
