There are a lot of Bose A20s popping up on ebay that are almost brand new(less than 30 hours or so), and they are usually $900 or less, almost $300 below retail price. The one drawback is most of them are out of warranty ore almost out of warranty. How likely would I be to need the warranty, I plan on being very careful with them and avoiding any giving them any abuse outside of normal wear? Is it worth spending the extra $300 to get pretty much the exact same thing for the warranty? Is it true there are durability issues with A20s? I have seen some people say they are less durable than DC One-Xs, and zulu uses steel and Magnesium for most of the headset. How much of the A20 headset is plastic, and how prone to breaking is it compared to the other headsets mentioned. I was thinking about getting the DC One-Xs, because they seem to be very good, they do look durable, and a lot of people who have them seem to like them a lot better than the other headsets. The reason Im not very excited about the One-Xs tho, is because their control is significantly worse than the bose with its bluetooth and auxiliary capabilities/controls.

Just writing about my horrible customer experience with Bose.
Sent in my proflight aviation headset including the down cable (remote) for repair. Bose just sent me back the headset assembly itself and claim they did not receive the down cable. Now I have a headset without a down cable which has no use. I told them I definitely sent in both items for repair but they keep on saying they didn’t receive the down cable WTF….. when you send in things to Bose for repair take photos of what you put in the box so they don’t blame you for something that they lost. Lesson learnt.
