Per what I read that one pilot said comparing the A20’s to the A30’s, he said that when he tried on the A30’s he didn’t really see hardly a difference to the A20’s. He thought it was going to be a huge night and day difference like when he went upgrades from the Bose X to the A20’s. Hope that helps anecdotally. More on reddit.com

Buy it used. I got mine on ebay. Just be patient and wait for a realistic offer to be posted, or try your luck with bidding if you're into that process. Thats how I got mine for less than $600. More on reddit.com

My Aviation X lasted me 15 years. From 07 until 2022, and racked up over 5,500 hours. I was sad to let it go. But as has been mentioned, you’re far better off spending a little extra cash and getting a headset that Bose actually still provides support to. More on reddit.com

Hello fellow flyers,
I currently fly with a pair of Bose X that I got 4 years ago. With brand new pads and a new mic muff.
It still feels comfortable and the ANC seems all good.
I was just wondering for you that have tried both headset, is there a major difference in the ANC ? Would the A20 be quieter ?
I'm about at 320h in a cessna 180 and I feel like my ears are already humming when it's silence so I'm trying to make sure I've got the best protection.

The new headsets, A30’s, are getting good reviews by those paid by Bose. Others are saying they feel like they are cheap and the variable ANR is dumb. Why wouldn’t you want the full ANR. Most say stick with the A20’s from reviews not by paid users/influencers (hate the word influencer).
