I made the Bose Connect App For Desktop/Laptops
Like you I use my headphones all the time and since the last year, I've used them connected to my Laptop 90% of the time. I've had my headphones die on me multiple times during video calls & focused work and it's due to me not charging them because I don't know that they are close to dying, unfortunately, Bose decided not to make the connect app for laptops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ After a few months of getting frustrated with this, I decided to do something about it & I figured out how the official app communicates with the headphones and I replicated this on Mac I honestly thought that this was going to be easy but it took me far longer than I expected and went down a rabbit hole of Bluetooth At the moment it only works for Mac but please let me know if you're interested in a Windows or Linux version and I'll make it happen :) Let me address the Elephant in the room: I'm charging 9 dollars (USD) for the app I understand this might seem steep seeing as we already paid 200/300+ dollars for the headphones but I'm trying to become an indie developer full-time and I've spent a lot of time trying to polish up the app so that it works just as good if not better than the original Bose connect app. Would really appreciate your thoughts & feedback :) More on reddit.com

Unfortunately, Bluetooth on windows laptops, especially corporate laptops have been a problem forever. I hope Bose tries to do something about it. But the real issue is most people just blame the headphones because that makes sense and we don’t assume the possibility of windows being an issue. A solution to your problem: You can get a USB Bluetooth dongle from Amazon or local electronics store and then pair your headphones to it. That should work seamlessly. More on reddit.com

U may need to change the audio output to Headphones(Bluetooth)or Headphones which can be accessed by clickinh on the speaker icon on the right side of taskbar, and then u should click the up arrow next to the audio output name and select Headphones or Bluetooth audio blah blah. And see if tat works. I am getting the best out of my QC 35 IIs over Bluetooth connection with my pc as it sounds wayyy better than wired and the latency for me is one of the lowest where it feels like its wired (p.s. Mind u, this wont be same for everyone cuz i have a high end pc with a premium audio on my motherboard with Bluetooth 5.0 so am getting the best, it may differ according to computer)

I picked up a pair of QC ultras today for gym use to replace my AirPods Pros. I'm about to return these things. Seriously, what is it with Bose and the WORST bluetooth experience on the planet? Soundlink is awful with bluetooth as well.
They're working fine with my phone, but I'm wondering how I can connect them to my PC. Entering pairing mode via the button on the right cup, it'll show up under bluetooth devices on my PC, but refuse to connect. Entering pairing mode via the "add device" option in the Bose app on my phone, it'll connect as "LE- Bose QuietComfort Ultra" as an other device and not a selectable audio device. I cannot output any audio to them this way. I have been spamming the bluetooth button on the right cup, constantly listening to that stupid cello sound, and listening to the atrocious AI voice spell out my PC name over and over but no luck.
It's not mandatory that I get them working with my PC, but I'd like to. I typically use Hifiman HE400i w/ FiiO E10k DAC, but my gf games next to me sometimes and she uses a Bose Soundlink for audio. Open back headphones with the background noise isn't the best, so I'd like to be able to use ANC with the QCs sometimes.
Any suggestions?
