Is boxing day a huge one for sales on clothing?
Before black Friday came to Canada, boxing day was THE day for shopping here. Since black Friday was introduced a few years ago, it seem that BF has better sales and better selection (sizes) and boxing day is basically whatever is left over. Discount wise I have found BF to be better as well. I would say boxing day is better for in person shopping (malls) where is BF is for online. But BF is still better imho More on reddit.com

Boxing day is starting to feel more exhausting. Sales used to start on the 26th, then they started on Christmas afternoon but this year I've gotten some sales early start emails on Christmas morning and Christmas eve. This combined with Black Friday going for all of November feels exhausting and overwhelming. More on reddit.com

Hi,
I moved to Canada in September and I am unaware of how huge boxing day is for getting discounts on clothing items. I always thought black Friday was a big deal but I didn't find much success during that week. Moreover, I don't think there were any good deals as such. I got a Calvin Klein jacket for 87 by following a thread from here and it is quite warm and comfortable. I got lucky with that one I guess. Anyway, my point being should I keep my hopes up for the boxing day or not?
Any other advice for buying clothes would be appreciated as well if any!

black friday/cyber monday/ and boxing day deals are usually around the same from my experience, going into the malls on boxing day is a total disaster you'll be better off shopping online

I remember Boxing Day sales being the peak sale period to shop when I was growing up. Maybe it's because of online shopping now, or because there are so many more sales during the year, or maybe it's because I have less money than before (haha) but I feel like Boxing Day shopping is much less exciting.

Black Friday has definitely changed things I dislike that it was so easy for an American tradition to overtake our own But I do like that I can do my Christmas shopping in the Black Friday sales
