November 27, 2024 - Brach's (/ˈbrɑːks/) is a candy and sweets brand of Ferrara Candy Company. In 1904, Emil J. Brach invested his $1,000 life savings in a storefront candy store located at the corner of North Avenue and Towne Street in Chicago, Illinois. He named it "Brach's Palace of Sweets".

November 23, 2025 - Originally opening in 1923 in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, the Brach's Candy Factory serves thousands of workers and their families for decades. It was closed in 2004 and production was moved to Mexico. After ten years of decay, the factory complex is now being demolished as the beginning to a city-backed industrial redevelopment plan that has been planned since 2008.
