September 20, 2024 - dude there are 45 luts over there all essentially named the same thing.. its impossible to sort through it. can you tell me the 1 you use for everything? i just tried using BT709_CanonLog3-to-BT709_WideDR_65_FF_Ver.2.0 and it's absolute trash. ... There is a PDF in there that lists them all and details what they are for. ... You’re not crazy… i have the same issue. 99% of my use case is stills so I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but when testing out clog3, rec709, and that same LUT in Resolve, it looked hideous.

May 4, 2021 - There are SO many LUTS available for download on Canon's website and I can't make sense of most of them. Which one should I use with my R5 if I am shooting C-LOG 3 and Rec709? I want a nice starting point to then begin my color grading. Thank you! ... The naming goes like this: color space_canon log version_to what space you wanna grade in_grid size (you can either use 33 or 65) If you're shooting in the 709 color space in clog3 for example, then use: BT709_CanonLog3-to-BT709_WideDR_65_FF_Ver.2.0 or BT709_CanonLog3-to-BT709_WideDR_33_FF_Ver.2.0

March 26, 2023 - The R5C has BT 709( Rec 709), but not Canon 709. They are different. If you don't see Canon 709 in your C70 menu, you will need to upgrade your firmware. I hope that helps. July 19, 2023 - I'm shooting on a Canon R5 using CLOG. My CLOG settings in camera are: Colour Matrix - Neutral (as opposed to Cinema EOS Original) Colour Space - BT.709 (as opposed to BT.2020) There is no option to set the Colour Space to Cinema Gamut with CLOG - I only have that option with CLOG 3. When I get my CLOG footage into Resolve I want to convert it to Rec 709 as a starting point for grading. In Adobe Premiere I would normally do this by applying a conversion LUT from Canon.
