Hi guys I need to download the Capital One app for my ZFold 2 but it is not supported in Play Store. I'm sure it would work just fine if I downloaded it.
Does anyone know how I can force the Play Store to let me download and install the app? The US version of the app downloads and works fine though it is a different app to the UK version which is the one that I need. It is not possible to login to the US app with a UK account.
Without the app I apparently am unable to set up direct debits to pay off my credit card! Any advice is appreciated.

I was recently approved for a Capital One SavorOne card but had to leave for Thailand before receiving it. Once there, I asked a family member in the U.S. to open the envelope and send me a photo of the card details. However, every time I tried adding the card to Apple Wallet, I kept getting an error saying it couldn’t be added!
I tried everything:
• Using a VPN to connect to the U.S. over Wi-Fi and mobile data. • Disabling location services for the Capital One app. • Adding the card through my Mac.
Nothing worked!
Finally, I found a solution: I purchased a U.S.-based eSIM and activated international roaming on it. With the eSIM active, I entered the card details in Apple Wallet, and it directed me to open the Capital One app. This time, it worked! I was finally able to add the card, even from abroad!
If you’re facing a similar issue, using a U.S.-based eSIM with roaming might just be the answer!
I used the Tello Esim service.

More voodoo that worked. I'm in Taiwan. Connected to Wifi. Use surfshark VPN to Charlotte USA. iOS 18. Force quit Capital One app. Go through Apple Wallet to verify. This auto opens the Capital One app. Try to login via Face ID. Asked for verification. CHOOSE PHONE NUMBER NOT USE CARD. After you get the verifying code enter it in. Takes you to Apple Pay verification screen. Asks you to verify again. This time I used my card. Verified.

If they will not back me in Europe I don’t think I can take the card with me over there again. Because there’s always an issue when you’re traveling overseas people try to scam you. Has anyone found a reliable way to login to CapitalOne's website or app while abroad? Mine requires sending a code to my US number (which is inconvenient or impossible while out of the US), and the customer service says there's nothing they can do. I'm probably going to cancel the card because of this, but want to see if there's a work around first. Thanks!

Weird. I log into my capital one app/the website all the time from abroad and have never hit a snag or needed an OTP. I know that doesn’t help you though. Sorry man that sucks

Roaming nowadays is cheap enough it’s probably more convenient for you to pay the 20 cents or whatever to get the text.

The question is how much would it take for Apple to support users that travel between two countries that need access to Apps from both countries at the same time. Surely I am not the only one who needs that capability nor should it be hard to allow one device to have access to both stores at the same time (at least for free apps). All that would be required is to, for the short term, have a default store (where both free and purchased apps could be downloaded) and a secondary store (where only free apps could be running on the same device at the same time). This isn't violating any banking rules (since the Apps are free). As for support by content owners (if the App is free, most aren't really offering 24/7 support and most end users will know if they have an issue (e.g. the ANZ Go Money App or the BP Me App) that they will need to call the bank during banking hours in Australia/New Zealand and if they are using Capitol One or Wells Fargo that they will need to call during banking hours in the US.The point is unless we the consumer on these forums start asking for such features, Apple isn't likely to make the needed changes (and being the only person providing the feedback isn't what gets the same impact as a serious discussion on a forum like this by many consumers and developers).

However, as you noted, the store app is only set up for one store at a time, so you will only see the apps that you acquire (paid or free) for the store for the country for which your account is currently set up. And you will only be notified of updates to the apps for that store.This is Apple and has nothing to do with Google or any other company's legal agreements with content owners. It has nothing to do with a bureaucratic mentality. There isn't one world or one store, as the licensing agreements for the content follow the laws of the particular country for each individual store as well as the wishes of to which countries the content owners wish to sell their apps. Discover has partnership with some other global debit networks. Still not as good as Visa and Mastercard, but it's not terrible. I think Capital One will be investing a lot of money to expand Discovers international acceptance.

NEVER EVER use a debit card for purchases. They should ONLY be used for cash withdrawls at ATMs. You should ALWAYS be using a credit card for purchases, whether at home or abroad. With that being said, Charles Schwab bank is your friend. You can use any ATM in the world with no fees.
