Hey guys I just got a Logitech G29 and have not had too much of a chance to mess with it yet. I am not exactly new to racing games, but haven't gotten into any of the serious ones because I've only ever used a controller. I just picked up Assetto Corsa and Carx Drift Racing, and I've had Dirt Rally 1/2 for a while now.
I love games like Midnight Club, Need For Speed, Forza, Gran Turismo, etc. because I can drive regular cars. MY cars. My FC RX-7, my NA Miatas, even my old Honda Del Sol. All the cool cars I cross-shopped, stuff that I'd see while driving around and be like "HOLY SHIT is that an MR2??"
Don't get me wrong, it's fun to drive like an F1 car or something. But I really don't care about them at all, it's just kinda boring because the extent that I care about them is looking at the spec sheet and seeing "oh this one has 100 more horsepower and weighs about the same, neat, I'll use that one". Cars that I see around town, cars I've owned, and cars I've test driven are all way more exciting to me.
I know you can play Forza with a wheel, but from what I've seen it's kinda "meh" (haven't really tried it yet though). Are there some other games out there that can scratch my "real car" itch? Like I just wanna rip around in my 2nd gen BRZ in a way that won't get me killed. I don't even care if they're particularly realistic, I just don't want it to be a crappy experience with the wheel.
