A couple of years ago I changed the display name of my gmail account and I cant change it back. I tried doing it through google mail like the internet tells me to do, but the name wont go away😭 It was a stupid name i thought of when I was little and I cant answer business emails with it... I added the name while ive had the email for a while, so I thought I could change it back. The google mail website says my display name is different, but the name in my ios mail app is still that one name... Please help, idk what else to do. To be clear, whenever I am writing a mail I see my normal display name, the name I am trying to change it too. But whenever I look at my sent emails I see my old embarrassing display name... Also when people are sending me emails they are sending it to my old display name.

I’m literally losing my mind trying to figure this out. Literally EVERYWHERE else my name on my Google account is what it’s supposed to be, except for when I send an email, then for whatever is says my name is JayTheSaltyBastard (which is of course not a good thing.) I went to the settings and in “Accounts and Imports” it says to send mail as my name, on my regular Google account it says my name, my YouTube account says my name. My email is literally the ONLY PLACE where I’m having this problem. Please help.
