Shop on Amazon a lot so might as well. My main bank account is also on chase, and I have the freedom unlimited card. My main gripe is the annual fee. If they're both 0 annual, then Prime Visa is the better choice. But I don't get it, some say you have to have Amazon Prime (I do have that, for now) for it to have none, the website does not specify that. Which one should I go with?

The is no AF on either of Chase’s Amazon cards. Some like to make the case that since you need Prime to get the Prime version of the card, then that is essentially the AF. That argument is completely BS, as people pay for Prime for the expedited free shipping, and Prime video, not just so they can get the credit card. If you have Prime, then you should obviously go with the Prime card. 3% vs 5% cash back.

I use Amazon but I wouldn’t call myself someone who uses it everyday. Am a casual spender and when I buy I spend more than 50 dollars on my orders. I had this before but never used it since I had the card since 1 year ago . I haven’t used the card the moment it came in the mail. Recently I got a new card with 28 BENEFITS and no annual fees? Sounds amazing but am a bit skeptical. Can someone confirm if this card is trustworthy?

Trustworthy? sure. In my opinion Chase is more trustworthy than Synchrony (Amazon Store card). It's a good card if you shop Amazon Prime. It's a fine card if you only want to have one card. It's a fine card if you want a little extra cash back for gas and dining. It's a fine card if you like merchant bonus offers. Regularly, you can get 6% cash back if you pick a slower shipping option. Sometimes it's 7% (big sale days). It's not the greatest card in the world, it's just- fine. One neat feature is if you cancel Prime, the card automatically reverts to a non-Prime 3% version. You wouldn't need to close the card just because you don't Prime anymore.

I'm taking a hard look at my spending and I got to thinking about Amazon prime at $140/year. Every time I've looked into the 'worth' of Amazon Prime membership, the frequency and cost of shipping always made it worth it. I've also had the Prime Visa for years now that gives us 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases and when we randomly go into Whole Foods.
But, I'm wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze considering orders over $35 are free 2-day anyway.
If I cancel my $140 membership then my card will be downgraded to a store card that only gets 3% cash back which is still pretty good. Is the thought process of "if you buy $2,800 worth of stuff off of Amazon per year then the membership pays for itself? That's pretty eye opening. This rabbit whole is definitely going to get my wife and me to review all of our Amazon purchases in the last year to see what was actually worth it or not.
TL:DR is Amazon Prime membership + Prime Visa worth it now assuming we don't change our spending patterns?

Long story: it's worth it if the bonuses or benefits outweigh the costs. I have it because I save at least $140 a year using it, easily. Just my xmas gifts alone have paid out $100 in Amazon cash. 6% cash back if you wait for delivery adds up quickly. My Prime membership is essentially free, and then some. So look at your purchases over the last year and see if it's worth it.

I found that when I cancelled my prime membership that I went from ordering twice per month to about 4 times per year. I save a lot more money by not ordering from Amazon than I could ever make up in bonuses.
