Hello! I am from Georgia in the US, and I would like some advice on where to buy meat, even in bulk, the cheapest?
Prices have gone crazy! I used to buy the 5-6LB ground beef at Costco for $25-$30 and now it’s at least $36. I buy in bulk, portion it, and freeze it (I live alone and hate wasting food).
Any advice? Most of what I heard is Costco but I don’t know if it’s a hype thing or if it’s realistically the cheapest.
I have nearly every grocery store (in my region) within range: Aldi, Lidl, Whole Foods, Walmart, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, Kroger, Publix, etc. Much appreciated!!
Found plenty of farms and butchers outside of BC but most won't ship to Vancouver.
Where is everyone getting their bulk meat?
Where can I go to get good cheap bulk/wholesale meat that isn’t restaurant depot/costco?
I use to go to a food distributor where I moved from that always had 10 pounds of chicken thighs for ten dollars less than even Costco. They had different cuts of steaks like skirt steak packed into boxes and sold for less since they were a distributor. I just moved here to the Houston area 3 weeks ago and I haven’t found anything yet. Restaurant depot was more expensive or even the exact same as Costco by the pound!
If anyone could please help point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it 🙏
