I'm in Canada and I downloaded the Samsung Pay APK onto my phone. After I set it up, I was greeted with this screen saying Samsung Pay works with select CIBC credit cards.

I'm with BMO so I can't test it out. If anyone with CIBC can try it and post back that would be great. Hopefully other banks will be added in the next few weeks.

Sorry in advance if this is not the right place to ask.
As you know in Canada, CIBC is taking over Costco's credit card from Capital one. In most systems my info has now been transferred to CIBC's system. However samsung pay still does not recognize the credit card number as belonging to CIBC.
I still have the physical card from capital one and will not get a CIBC branded card until sometime in Aug 2022.

Update: I just noticed that when I paid at the gas pump it still said capital one credit card on the screen. So yes, somewhere in someone's system they haven't fully changed my card over to CIBC quite yet.

It’s probably not available mobile wallets. Same for apple and google. They say end of may.
Just keep using the card you have your new one will have the same number as cibc took over the bin ranges from capital one
