Since yesterday anytime I’ve tried to queue up for a match as killer or survivor it tells me “You have disconnected from the Server because of a failure to validate the host’s account through Easy Anti-Cheat (error code 0)” I don’t know why this is happening I’ve tried verifying the files through steam, reinstalling the game as well as Easy Anti-Cheat. I really just want to get the rift pass done I don’t know how to fix it to let me play.
Please help me! For quick context, my husband and I both play Fortnite, however he is in the military and currently deployed and unable to play very often. However, understandably, he still wants to complete the battle pass for this season, so I decided I would sign into his account on my computer and just play some tycoons and main stage to level him up so he doesn't miss out on the battle pass items. He does still like to sign in on his computer to play a little bit from where he is when he can.
Now, here's where the problem is, I went to sign back in today, this being only the second time I have logged into his account from my PC, and I got error code 0 in the locker. Every loadout (Skins, wraps, emotes, jam tracks) has been unequipped. Now, I still have everything, nothing is missing, it just unequipped everything and has the following message in the top corner:
"Some locker services are temporarily unavailable right now. Any changes you make to your locker may not be saved. Please try again later.
Error code: 0"
Looking this code up, it seems to be an "anti-cheat" error. So, with that being the case, I would understand if maybe the "signing in from 2 different countries" was flagged as suspicious behavior, and might have put my husbands account of some sort of "lockdown" or somethin of the sort. If that is the case, I just really want to know how to get that fixed and not risk completely losing my husbands account
Does anyone know what I could possibly do to fix this? I was thinking I could bossibly constact Epic Games and let them know and figure it out that way, but something tells me that's not really how that works, but I've also seen many people saying contacting Epic Games is an absolute PAIN! I just really wanna get my husbands account fixed. Please help DX
9/30/2025 *Edit* (Forgot I can do that lol)
Wow, so it seems a lot of people are having this problem again. And funny enough. So am I. I literally Googled the code, and found this post, forgetting it was mine 🤣
To try to answer some questions, I don't remember how I fixed it the first time. I think I just gave it some time and it eventually went away :T
Researching more, this is a problem caused by an error from the EasyAntiCheat. Other posts say to try restarting your system, checking if EAC is installed, and verifying the Fortnite game files.
So far, I have tried each of these methods, and they haven't worked. I just now uninstalled Fortnite and am reinstalling it, hoping that works. However I have 44 minutes, as of now, remainging for the install -_-
I will check back when the install is finished to let yall know if it worked lol
Luck be with you, friends
Edit
Cowabummer, yall... Unistalling and reinstalling did not work. However, Fortnite has now added the notice in the lobby screen
"DEFAULT OUTFIT & LOCKER ISSUES Players may load into matches as Default Outfits or be unable to save/load Locker loadouts. We're working on a fix."
So that's grand -_-.... Guess we just gotta wait it out, friends :T
Just built my new pc, but I get the error code 00 and red light on vga when trying to start it up.
What I have found so far in other posts:
-
00 could mean CPU not found or smth, but before that the error code 15 is shown (memory bridge check), which indicates that the CPU is actually found (if I understand correctly)
-
the general advice of removing everything powering it (psu cable, CMOS battery) and leaving it overnight. Just tried it again, same issue.
-
other people had this error after flashing the bios incorrectly on older boards, but this is a new build, with stock bios (it should support out of the box).
Anyone experience with this kind of problem? And if not, do you know how I could contact support (Europe)? Thanks a lot!
Specs: Ryzen 7 9700x Fury beast ddr5 6000 30, it is supported according to the mb page Gigabyte rtx 4070 ti super Windforce (sure it works, recycled it from my previous build) Straight power 11 850W
Hi Michael,
Feel free to share with us some updates on the issue.
Thanks,

Hello, For nearly a year I've been receiving error code "00" on my Asus motherboard. No POST happens a lot of times but after turning it off and on for a couple of times(Sometimes just leaving it off for a few hours and then turning it on again) it will again continue to work normally. During the time when "No POST" happens, I've tried removing RAM sticks and I received the same code.
I've also taken my computer twice to the repair shop. These people did the same thing I did. They checked with different RAM (Same Code-00), then they changed the PSU (Same Code-00). And then they say its a motherboard problem and they need to mess with ICs else my computer won't turn on. Another person said my motherboard is dead and I should buy a new mobo instead.
I usually just take the PC back because I know that if I leave it off for a few hours, it ends up working fine(Most of the time it turns on with just a few attempts).
May I know what should I do to fix the 00 error so my computer works fine always?
Things I have tried:
Resetting the BIOS. Works for a day and then it goes back to Code-00 and after 4-5 attempts of powering On and Off it works fine.
Leaving the system on for 10 or so minutes and then retrying (It works most of the time this way). Saw this on a youtube comment once since a lot of people seem to be getting this 00 error. The explanation which the user gave was that the processor needs a bit of warmth. (But again sometimes it doesn't work).
Clearing CMOS and Removing the Battery (This worked the first time I faced the 00 Error. It worked for a few months and when Error-00 appeared again, I tried this method but it didn't work)
Keep in mind, when my computer works it works perfectly. I even tried doing the stress test on CPU-Z and it worked fine. Could it be some major problem still?
