I feel like two twins pushed together is probably the best and most economical option? You each can get whatever type of mattress you prefer! My husband and I share the same mattress but have separate blankets bc I like a fluffy down feather blanket to bundle in and he has the most puny blanket I’ve ever seen that keeps him cool!
