fuck no, the software is fine, but the fact that corsair uses non-standard argb connectors means you're overpaying for parts that arent compatible with everything else. same with nzxt. I never recommend them More on reddit.com

January 20, 2025Advice on Corsair Link? Is it worth the money? Are they quality fans?
I love the QX120s. I haven't had a Corsair fan before, but I had other brands and I like both their sound profile and their performance. I don't need to spin them more than around 900 rpm (they go as low as 450) and I can hear their sound only above around 1100 rpm. Even if I try to run them full speed, I don't hear any whine, it's mostly the air whoosh. I'd say the only fans that were quieter were Noctua fans. As for the price, it will depend on the lifespan. If I get few years out of them without any sort of degradation, I'm happy. I was willing to pay a bit more for much less fan cables in the case. In comparison to my previous nzxt setup, it's night and day. I read a lot of hate on icue here, but I had so many problems with CAM that switching to icue was a big improvement and I haven't had any issues with v5 so far. More on reddit.com

I'm a new builder looking for something I can build relatively easily. Screening the internet for different fan controllers and the like was a nightmare, and putting it all together looked even worse. I'm a stickler for cord management and aesthetics, so the iCUE link honestly looked like a dream come true. From what I've heard, corsair makes decent products, and I can budget for the extra cost of a Corsair AIO and fans. Is it worth it? my personal impression of corsair's icue stuff is that it's bloatware, but I don't really care about rgb sooo... I think there's some other open source software thing that'll work with corsair's icue that much less bloaty, but I can't remember it off the top of my head

Hi, As Kooky_ Signature_3994 mention, it's a Link cable who goes from some PSU to the commander mini or the USB link dongle, but those controllers aren't produced anymore. Link Dongle were integrated to some PSU bundle. That cable must be not plus on your mainboard or a non appropriate controller. Brice
