As I gear up for ordering holiday cards this year, I have to say how much I loath the Costco partnership with Shutterfly and miss the Photo Services offered through Costco. It was truly one of the things that made our membership more valuable for us, and you simply could not get a better deal for like 50-60 holiday cards for under $20. It's straight up a dollar a card at Shutterfly, I hate it.
We used to use Costco for our holiday cards every year, and for the most part we were really happy with them. Now that all of that stuff has moved over to Shutterfly, I am wondering if there will be a difference (positive or negative) in quality.
Anyone here who has used the service since the change: What has your experience been? Has the pricing changed much? I haven’t linked our Costco account to their service yet.
I’m so bummed. Did my cards early. I knew I had to go through Shutterfly this year and while I’d heard they’re not as good as Costco, I did not expect a literal blurry waste. I love sending a card and filling my home with the cards I receive. I don’t like to spend a ton on them but still expect the quality to be decent. Costco should really rethink this partnership.
Does anyone know if Shutterfly promotions apply on top of the Costco "discount"? Shutterfly currently has a 40% off coupon code for photobooks with unlimited added pages (HUGE for me), but I would hate to spend all of that time creating a giant book just to learn at the end that it doesn't apply if you're getting the Costco "discount." I'm trying to know if I need to set up a burner Shutterfly account, or just use a different service this year if I'm going to end up paying full price anyway. Thanks!
