Okay so here’s the situation: My Mom and Dad share the same apple ID which makes both their phones basically be seen as one. (Stupid, I know. But they did that back when I didn’t even know what apple was) Though they do have their own photos and whatsapp chats, for example.
Now we want to separate her phone with the current apple ID to get her own, but I‘ve seen a bunch of different ways to do it, but none of them really fit the situation.
My question is, what is the best way to separate the phones + make a new ID for my moms phone WITHOUT losing all her data?
Help is much appreciated and thank you 🙏🏻
Recently got an old iPad. I think this one is first iPad Air or something. It's been so long. My aunt created the apple ID signed in to this account but she doesn't remember the password. I try creating a new Apple ID to log into the device but it won't let me. I look it up on google and it said it's either slow internet, full storage, or the device needs to be updated. It's not the first one because our internet fine at the time. I try to check the storage but it needs an account. I try to update the device but it needs me to sign into iTunes. Which, I don't have an account. Please help this is so frustrating lol
You have a couple of options:
1) Call Apple Customer service and they will be able to help you. That's the hard way.
2) You can also delete your iCloud account if you don't have any purchases of content attached to it. I highly doubt that you don't need the account and that's why I would tell your daughter to go to the iPhone Settings>>iCloud>>Sign Out. She can then sign in with her own iCloud/Apple ID. If she doesn't have one, she can set up a new Apple ID and new iCloud account by following these steps. While at it, she'll make things a lot easier if her icloud account is the same as her apple ID account. Access to all of your content will be much more simple. This is a mistake a lot of people make. I highly recommend you have only one account/pass for both.
In case you still want to delete your iCloud account and deactivate it, here is how to: How to delete your iCloud account
I hope all this helps :)
You can visit Apple My Apple ID website.
There you will find a link to Find your Apple ID, try this as first step. If you can't find or restore you Apple Id, you can Create a new one in the same site.
Hey guys what's up So I'm trying to set up my new iPhone and I'm having trouble with creating an apple account. It's my first apple device so I definately hacnt set up an existing account When I try to do it on the new phone during set up I get to the first step and then get an invalid date of birth error but if I leave it blank it sends me back to the forgot password/create account page I have also tried creating an account on my windows laptop and my current Samsung phone, I put in all my details, verify my email and phone number and then it says; your account cannot be created at the moment. I tried verifying with a phone call and a text and neither worked
Does anybody know why this is happening or how I could create an account. Any advice is very appreciated
Thanks!!
I am very new to the Apple community, and I'm going to buy an iPad very soon.
But I got stuck during account creation because Apple won't let me do this
Honestly, I had my Apple account once with my main email account since I was a kid, but I'm using it for Apple Music's free trial (on an Android phone), and that's all.
Because I was dumb at the time. I used my grandfather's phone number, which was disabled now due to inactivity, and I can't get that account back forever (because no one remembers that number)
So I tried to create a new one with a new email account. and my own phone number, but I got stuck at the phone number verification. It keeps saying "your account cannot be created at this time."
I do like their technology, but this is so frustrating.
They don't even have live chats to talk with their agents at all. I don't know which way to go, so I decided to ask for help on Reddit instead.
