Hi, I have a Google account and two Gmail address which I use for various Google services. I'd like to create a third Gmail email. The advice I'm finding online seems unclear.
The instruction is: Log in to Gmail, Click on profile, Add Another Account., then select Create Account, and then choose either For Myself or To Manage My Business. I then have to fill in all my details. If I do this am I breaking Google ToS? Is there a way to create just an email without an entirely new account?
I don't think you have any issues there. You'll only run in to trouble if you create a Google Profile with that account. Gmail ≠ Google Profile. (That said, have you considered Google Apps?)
I have several Gmail accounts. One I use to keep my gaming separate from my regular e-mail. Others a placeholders for my kids. Only my main account has a Google Profile.
Rather than using multiple accounts, use this feature of gmail and filters to direct and tag your work messages accordingly.
If your main account is [email protected], give your friends [email protected] and your business associates [email protected], and make a filter to put the tag business on the latter.
