Make sure you check the opening on your deck versus the opening on the up tube. I just bought two separate baggers for my Craftsman dyt 4000. The first one was a Craftsman brand and did not fit the mower opening as it was older. The "unbranded" (from my local Lowe's) (which turned out to be Husqvarna) fit perfectly with no modification needed. The alternative is to search the mower you have online, find the original manufacturer's parts lists and order from there.

My little 42in Ariens finally kicked the bucket after a decade. I've had 0 problems with it until now. Decided to replace it at this point.

I ordered a Cub Cadet LT46 mostly for the Kohler 7000 and the fact that Home Depot is my only option out here for delivery. I've read all the reviews I could find (mostly by people that have used it a few times).

Can anyone tell me are better or worse than the other choices from HD? I still have a few days to cancel it. I'm kinda freaked out ever since I learned they're owned by MTD. If delivery wasn't an issue I'd have probably got a Husqvarna. Any input from the experts or owners would be greatly appreciated.

9 year LT1046, 2 sets of head gaskets (Kohler Courage line), multiple spindles (poor design compared to John Deere). Cracked welds on deck, slipping transaxel, brocken pedal bushings, cracked seat welds. Watch this video. If HD is your only option, go with one of MTDs' other brands, either Troybuilt or Yardman, and save some money. I have 2 friends with similar age and size JDs, and neither has had the problems my Cub has had.
