Looking to get first brand new riding mower. I've been looking around and lurking here and the lawn mower subreddit. I've read alot to avoid the k46 hydrostatic and best to buy from dealer and not chain store if able.
I came across the cub cadet xt1 lt42b at a local dealer. I have less than half are, typical Florida residential lot. 42" is perfect no major inclines.
Any glaring issues with this model? I'm open for other recommendations if you'd like. Lawn tractor is ideal.

Own an older LT1046, would never recommend anything MTD. It's just all around poor quality. If it was me, in the past, I would have recommended a Deere 300 series. But a few months back, my neighbor just purchased a Huskvana TS248XD, and I was impressed. Welded vs stamped deck, and a Kawasaki 23hp engine and a Tuff Torque transaxel. As for me , the Cub is getting retired for a Gravely ZTHD zero-turn.

You will get half the life of a x300 series Deere, or buy the cub and plan on using it few seasons and dump it and move up in quality, the cubs just flimsy if you wanna buy one machine and have it last 10 yrs I'd go.x300 series Deere or get a Gravely zthd 6k.market. The smaller Gravleys under the zt hd use cheap hydros, Deere's z4xx series kind don't hold up either till you spend 5-6k on one even at the postage stamp stuff mowers. Cubs zts are stupid cheap hydros, you have to buy something that's 8-9k to get decent longevity.
