Is this safe to uninstall?

I have also been trying to uninstall Dell supportassist but it never uninstalls just stays there

I have a XPS 15 9570 and I noticed that in the recent Drivers and Update, there is now something called Fusion Service at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=t4mmx&oscode=wt64a&productcode=xps-15-9570-laptop which appears to install something called My Dell.  However, it seems the system originally used Dell Power Manager Service https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=kdhhr&oscode=wt64a&productcode=xps-15-9570-laptop which can no longer be installed as the installer will say that it detected My Dell being installed.  My question is should one install Fusion Service or should one install Dell Power Manager Service?  Is there any features that Dell Power Manager Service has that is missing in My Dell with the Fusion Service?  Thanks!

I've had this new laptop (XPS 17 9720, i9 processor, Nvidia RTX 3060, 4k screen) for a couple of weeks now. On day one I uninstalled all of Dell's bloatware except for the driver updater. The privacy agreement for Dell SupportAssist seemed particularly diabolical.

A week or two later, I'm noticing that my fans are a little loud and whiny. I don't think it's coil whine, I only notice it when I'm running a graphics-intensive program and the fans start spinning up. Probably normal, but I'm worried that I accidentally uninstalled some Dell program that was regulating fans and temperature in some proprietary and necessary way.

As far as I can tell, the only programs from Dell that would potentially affect fan behavior / temperature control are "My Dell" and "Dell Fusion Service." I'd rather not have these bloatware programs installed if I can help it, but it's not worth frying my CPU/GPU over it.

Are my fans and components okay without them, or do I need to reinstall these two programs?

I recently (two days ago I suppose) got a popup to update MyDell to keep using it, looks like this:

Whenever I press update, it downloads the .exe and starts it, I get an UAC popup for a signed "Fusion" update executable. It runs, keeps spinning and returns to the above screen.

Means: It never finishes and I'm unable to use MyDell anymore...

What to do?

I can’t access fusion (overclocking) on my brand new Aurora R16. Overclocking is enabled in BIOS, and it shows OC1 and OC2 there. But i don’t have manual control via fusion or the ability to see what OC1 or OC2 profiles even do for overclock settings. How do I access fusion? I still have the thermal profiles and the RGB controls available.

Ran into problems with fusion service while trying to start MyDell then tried to install supportAssist but it said it's not compatible with my device. Like why not? Help.

I opened MyDell to change power settings and it said that I have to update it. I tried to update it, but it still prompted me to the same update message and skipping it would close the app. As anyone had the same problem? This happened this afternoon

I have a Dell XPS 13 Plus. Now, I'm rying to update the "My Dell" app that's not working anymore, because it wants to install an update first. The problem is, I can't update this app.

It looks like it has something to do with the Fusion service the app is trying to install, because after updating the service it returns to the same screen where I started ("Update available) and I can't use My Dell without a succesful update.

So, I can't access a lot of functions I frequently used like to eye security tracking and Dell Performance.

Had contact with Delll Premium Support and they said that they had a lot of complains about this issue, but there was no fix on this moment and that I just have to be more patient.. I'm not satisfied with this answer and expected more effort after a full month without a solution.

Also, I removed the fusion service, the My Dell app, but that didn't work either. Still getting the same message.

Anyone experiencing the same problem or/and any tips or tricks to update the app?

At the risk of asking a dumb question, I am wondering which apps/services are essential/necessary for the operation of my dell prebuilt desktop I purchased.

For example, is it possible to do a clean re-install of Windows and not have any dell-related apps whatsoever? Would the computer still be fully functioning or is there something I would be missing? I don't really care about losing out on the ability to control RGB led's from the alienware app, i'm more-so wondering about more "performance-based" implications.

I do acknowledge and understand that bios updates would have to be through Dell since it's a proprietary MB. Is there anything else uniquely tied to dell that I need to be aware of?

Edit: I built a DIY PC many years ago and remember it being a blank slate when I started up. I'm defining bloatware as anything that would not be present on a clean fresh blank-slate install of Windows.

I don't normally come onto forums like this to call out people out of anger, but I feel that this needs to be said. Dell is beyond awful with its support. The Alienware laptops they make are good and all, but they don't have any regard for what happens after the purchase. I have a 15 R4 laptop. The Alienware command center started having issues so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (several months ago), but that caused the lights to stop working entirely, and resulted in the FX and Fusion tabs disappearing entirely. Nothing I tried worked, not even factory resetting my PC which is what support told me to do, and they just kept recommending I reinstall different versions of the CC. I looked around on the internet and there are hundreds of others who have the same issue that I have, and Dell has said nothing about this. 90% of community posts have a Dell mod commenting to uninstall and reinstall the Command Center as a solution, and that's all they ever say. They have not made an official statement anywhere about this issue, and if your device isn't under warranty they won't help you. And before you say they probably haven't had a lot of time to fix this, here's the best part. I've found that this issue has been going on as far back as 2012. Nothing has changed and they've ignored the issue for years. This is unbelievable to me. Feel free to fact check me or whatever. I just need to put this out here to let people know what's up with Dell. I doubt this is the only issue they've been neglecting.
