Hello there
Has anyone managed to get a hold of the Dell XPS 13 with Lunar Lake? I've read quite a few reviews on the 9340 and 9345 (chassis wise they seem identifical) and considering picking one up but I haven't found any decent reviews on this model yet .
I'm particularly interested in:
Linux compatibility (Ubuntu or Fedora)
Battery life
Thermals and fan noise

I do own one. I can't speak to Linux but I can tell you the battery life has been incredible (easily 12+ hours in Best Power Efficiency mode) and I'm only hearing fans when I'm in Best Performance mode (which usually means I'm plugged in and gaming). I had originally purchased the snapdragon XPS, but after realizing none of my audio production software was going to work, exchanged for the intel version. ARM still has a ways to go here. Also worth noting, I was skeptical of the keyboard at first, I quickly adapted and actually enjoy it now. Would I rather have physical function keys? Yes but but not a deal breaker, especially now that they dim like backlit keyboard. I have no issues with the trackpad as my muscle memory means I already know the boundaries. You may want to play with sensitivity to find a sweet spot that works for you but overall, I love this thing and thankful Intel finally made a chip that actually stays true to battery life claims. Plus you can actually do some decent gaming on this.

I own a 9350 2025 I bought it new. I run it with Ubuntu. Everything works great, except the webcam. I have not yet figured out how to get it to work. I have not tried it with Fedora but I doubt it would have better support for the webcam then Ubuntu does.... Battery life has been really good. Fan noise? Never heard the fan once. Doesnt seem to heat up badly at all.

Dell delivered the XPS 13 9350 today. Thank you all for your advice. I am just setting it up and going through the updating process. Any suggestions would be great. I'm really interested in using alternatives to Dell's Suites, like My Dell, to manage profiles and updates. I'd like to find something less resource-intense like G-Helper is for Asus.

About a year ago, I got the opportunity to try out Dell’s Broadwell XPS 13. In fact, Andrei also got it and still uses it today. I really liked it, but the Truth is, you’re not going to find a laptop with a 13.3” screen and such a small footprint anywhere else, and it’s just as light and compact as it is powerful and attractive. This particular version tested here handles games better than most other ultraportables, but if that's not something you're interested in, there are other configurations that sell for less and offer increased battery life.
