I bought a number of these die grinders for my shop. They've been put through heck and keep working. My only complaint is DeWalt claims 3 CFM air consumption. Complete lies. Try 15 CFM or more. If you plug this into a portable compressor with a 3 CFM rating you're going to have a 20% (or lower) duty cycle. It's also difficult (but not impossible) to lubricate the right angle gearbox.

December 24, 2023 - With Dewalt releasing the band file and small wheel cutoff tool, it's looking more promising that they will come out with a mini right angle for grinder. Maybe they'll even release a small disc sander like the mcm401. Now that they have some metal working tools, let's hope they sell well enough that they make more. Their cutoff tool/ band file platform would be the perfect starting point for a right angle die ...

Yes, it exists. I've been waiting to get specs/pics of it before doing a formal post on it. It will be the DCG400, available bare or kitted with 2x2Ah batteries. It's described as a right angle die grinder/polisher, so it's possible it's more like a yellow version of the MAC MCM401. Someone else on here also said it was based off the DCS438 cutoff tool. So who knows. As soon as I get some firm info, it will be on here.

Looking at the specs for the Mac I hope that's not what it is. Looks too bulky and too low rpm. Hercules just dropped a nice one but everything else I own is DeWalt so it would be nice to stay on the platform.
