Dollar General loves using different names for their sales, and in 2025 they called their holiday savings events "3-Day Sales." In past years, you might've known these as "Deal Days." These promotions run every Thursday through Saturday from October to December. These 3-Day Sales are basically a version of early Black Friday deals at Dollar General, with discounts on gifts, toys, holiday decor, kitchen appliances, gift cards, sodas, and canned goods.

The Dollar General Penny List is a list of the specific items that will ring up for $0.01 at Dollar General this week (if you're able to find the items still on shelves, that is). Penny items are actually mistakes. They're products that Dollar General has marked down to $0.01 so that store employees know to remove them from the shelves. But sometimes employees miss pulling these items from the sales floor, leaving the penny items out on the shelf where customers can find them. Penny items at Dollar General aren't organized in one single aisle. Instead, you'll need to look throughout the store. I have the best luck finding penny items in the clearance sections.
